Question: What are some fast, easy snacks I can make when guests show up unexpectedly!?
!.!.!.using things I already have on hand!. I usually make a quick party dip (layer of cream cheese, covered in salsa and shredded cheddar) with nacho chips, but I would love some new ideas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make crostinis!. Just drizzle some olive oil on slices of french bread cut diagonally (or similar bread)!. Bake the slices in the oven just until crispy/crunchy, golden brown!. As soon as you take them out of the oven, rub a piece of raw garlic onto each slice!. Spread goat cheese onto each slice, or another spreadable cheese like brie or alouette!. I always have shredded cheese, cream cheese, tuna, crab and/or shrimp (in cans); Rotel tomatoes on hand!. You can make CON QUESO DIP with 8 oz!. softened cream cheese; 8 oz!. shredded cheese & 2 cans Rotel tomatoes - heat until smooth & serve hot with chips!.!.!.!.!. A rectangle of softened cream cheese is good with a small, cheap jar of caviar poured over the top & crackers (or tiny shrimp cocktail over it) !.!.!.!.!. You can make a cheese ball with 8 oz!. cream cheese; 8 oz!. shredded cheese; pulse in food processor with herbs - add some ham, chicken, or whatever else you have around:) !.!.!. Tuna and crab salads make good spreads for crackers !.!.!. You can pulse a tube of liverwurst with bacon & 8 oz!. cream cheese, with a little horseradish, salt & pepper and make a "pate"Www@FoodAQ@Com

Always keep:

Crescent rolls and mini wienies for "Pigs in a blanket"!.
They go good with beer!.

Canned Beans, bacon and chips!.
Fry bacon to render the fat!. Fry and mash the beans in the fat!.
Serve the "Dip" with chips!. (Top with cheese &/or jalapenos if you
want)

Frozen Garlic breadsYou can spread the loaves with your own garlic
butter, wrap and freeze them yourself!. also good with beer

Rice-a-roni and gnd beef
Make the rice per the box directions, while that's cooking, fry and
crumble the beef!. Now mix the two together!. Serve with any kind
of chips!. You guessed it!.!.!. good with beer!.

Always have "litle smokies in the freezer, and throw them in the microwave with bottled bareque sauce!. also, keep blocks of cheese and "stylish" crackers available so you can appear to be a gourmet!

Don't forget, olives, celery sliced with peanut butter spread into the valley, cans of cheese to "squeeze" onto deli crackers, etc!.

I LOVE having chips and salsa or salsa mixed with sour cream!. I also LOVE cheese (everyone seems to like sharp cheddar) with grapes and triscuits!. I also like pepperoni with triscuits and a little shredded mozzarella cheese!. Everyone loves pretzels too-either with cream cheese dip or a cheese ball!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Deviled eggs only take about 20-25 minutes to make!. Just boil eggs for 15 minutes!. cool in ice water for 3 minutes!. crack and peel!. slice in halves, scoop out the yolks and set aside in bowl, add/mix mayonnaise, mustard and paprika to taste, spoon yolk mixture back into egg whites, and voila!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make dips and chips!.!.!. or I cut up veggies and put out some ranch dip and olive oil and fresh bread as offering!.!.!.I also make a quick drink with frozen juice, 7 Up and ice in the blender!.!.!.very good and fast!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
