Does anyone have any Wedding Reception Ideas?!
My fiance is Adventist and they are not much into dancing, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me any ideas we can do at the reception so our guests don't get bored!. also, he is thinking about not having food, just cake, because of the cost!. I was wondering if anyone could help me find inexpensive food we could serve!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could have pasta!. Pasta is usually pretty inexpensive, and vege-friendly, because a good number of Adventist are vegetarians!. Panera Bread gives tons of bread away on fridays!. Go to food banks, there's no shame; thats what they're there for, people who need it!. Try making a bar of hours d'oevres, or maybe have a sweets/sundae bar! Go to his church and ask the nice little old ladies to help with food, you're sure to find some nice people willing to help!. As far as games are concerned, you could have the guests play a game to see who knows the bride/groom best by asking them questions about you guys (ex!. what was Jim's favorite book when he was little!?) Then, maybe you could give small prizes!. Of course, you have the garder thing, the bauquet toss, the cutting of the cake, the best man's toast (maybe a sister or in-law could say a few words too)!.You could have a slide show of baby pictures of both of you and of while you were dating!. After, you could have someone sing, maybe 'The Prayer' or another nice love/wedding song!.If you still want to do something else, you can open presents too!. But my best advice would be is to go to an Adventist wedding and see for yourself, or ask couples in the church what they did!. You'll see that their weddings can be fun, too!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Few silk petals, flowers, ribbons, candles, etc!. to help decorate this table!. Loving couple statue or centerpiece!. Another table with Monster card or poster board for all your guests to sign, or a large loving blow up poster with the two of you together for the guests to autograph!.
Use silk or potted greenry that you can use later in your home for decorations!.
Depending on number invited: Cake-tiered or two hearts joined as one, extra cake squares if necessary, punch, Fortune cookies, nuts, mints!.
Could always add homemade chicken salad sandwiches on small dinner rolls or bread triangles or soldiers!. Can do a pimento cheese alternate also!. Not really that expensive if you do the work yourselves or your family or best friends pitch in!.
Can't do fortune cookies!.!.!.do thank you fortune scrolls on your computer, add graphic and poem; roll, tie with ribbon, seal with heart!.

There's no reason you can't have a wedding cake, nuts, mints, and punch!. But the cake-cutting sounds like the enertainment!. So get married, cut the cake, eat, and make a quick exit for your honeymoon!. Your guests will thank you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Ask your caterer for their snack or tea menu - some light bites is good!. You could make a CD of photos of the two of you together (from the time you met till now) and show that during the reception!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

DON’T HOLD THE WEDDING CEREMONY TOO EARLY
On your wedding day don’t hold the wedding ceremony too early!. You will end up having to provide for everyone twice if you do!. Guests won’t have had time for a proper meal at lunchtime and arrive at the ceremony or wedding reception very hungry and this will probably mean starting the wedding breakfast around 4!.30 when most people are not used to eating and then you will have to provide another meal in the evening!. It also means that you have to provide alcohol; or guests will be drinking alcohol for a much longer time!. This can lead to extra expense and other unwanted alcohol related problems! We usually suggest between 3 & 4 as the best time for the ceremony!.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE MORE THAN 100 GUESTS!.
If you want a good party in the evening with music and dancing it’s a good idea to have more than 100 guests!. If you have numbers less than this - once you have taken away the ones that have to leave early, the older ones that don’t want to or can’t join in and others that would rather just sit and chat - it can leave the atmosphere on the dance floor a little lacking!.

Ceilidth bands are fun for a short while but people soon get tired of having to follow instructions for any length of time!. At the end of what can be a long day guests often just want to relax, chat and get up to dance when they feel like it!. Take a couple of days off at home to chill out, take stock and get yourselves ready for a honeymoon on which you can really relax and enjoy yourself!.
