You could go to a craft store and get some valentine decorations and hot clue them to the outside of the basket, you could spray paint the basket red and paint white hearts on it, or wrap it in red cellphone. You could tie all kinds of red and white ribbons on it. Fill it with curly red and white shredded paper before you fill it.
Or just give it to him while you're buck naked, he'll never even notice the basked (of course, you have to be an adult to do that!)
You could try to hot glue gun those conversations heart all over the basket also.

You could put it in the basket.. with some cute red and white paper and put chocolates around all the presents.. i'm sure anything would be great though!!

use a cuddly soft blanket to pad it a bit. then you can cuddle under the blanket together. :) don't make it too girly with bows and stukk, keep it soft, inviting, manly.

After pondering over a gift for a new male friend at Christmas, I decided on a gift basket. Mine included: gift card-Starbucks & Blockbuster, bottle of wine/glasses, some godiva chocolates, candles, cologne gift set, snack crakers(goldfish). You could also include in yours: chocolate covered strawberries/cherries, maybe some movie passes or gift certificates to a favorite restaruant. Use some red/white shredded paper to line it, and wrap it in some Valentine motif clear(clearphane, found at hobby lobby or craft store) paper. Include a nice card. You can make it as big or small depending on how well you know him.

make it look like a jewelry box
