Organising a party...?!

Question:

Organising a party...?

im organising my 7 year olds party and i want it to be different .. do you have any tips..

Answers:
hire a clown or hire a ball pool or hire a bouncy castle

Bring over a magician or take them to an amuzement park or on a picnic.

How about taking them all out somewhere such as a local group who organise parties in their own venue. That way they would be able to run around. Depends where you live really. What about a coach trip to somewhere that they all love such as Legoland or Drusilla's park (again depends where you live) and the parents could come too and have a great time together.

Think of a theme and build your ideas around it!
i.e
Pirate party - treasure hunt, walk the plank, treasure box party bags, pirate pinata etc

You could choose only a few special friends and give them a trip somewhere special; theme park, ice rink, zoo etc
Have a craft party- you don't say whether it's a boy or a girl but this can be especially good for girls, if you provide felt tips, glue, glitter, sequins, feathers and ribbons they could make a photo frame, tiara and wand or something, google kids crafts and you will find heaps of ideas, maybe boys could make daggers and shields, or pirate treasure or something
I worked in a class of 7 yr olds and most of them hired limos for birthdays which I personally think is ridiculous, but if you have the cash and it appeals, why not...
Treasure hunt- this is my most fondly remembered birthday party from when I was young given by a girl who lived by the woods, you may want to stick to your own house though, could work well if you have big gardens- tell them to where wellies and old clothes, with a change of clothes- provide a room where they can change and hot choc when they are finished if it is cold and wet and they will enjoy it whatever the weather- just laminate clues, or simply slip into plastic bags- obviously this takes a bit of organisation.
Fancy dress party- whatever your child is into, provide activities based on that theme e.g. fairies- pin the wand on the fairy, fairy style tea party, wand making, fairy music for musical statues, pass the parcel with fairy style forfeits e.g dance like a fairy, sing a song about fairies, fly around the room, musical toadstools (chairs)
Take them to a local place which organises parties e.g Maccy D's, local museum, soft play area, and leave it up to them
Party organisers will come to your home and organise everything from food to games and entertainment if you want, and are often based on a theme appropriate to the children
Maybe a video party with popcorn and videos and lots of pillows and duvets on the floor and 'late' at night would make them feel grown up- just make sure it won't give them nightmares
Olympic games party with lots of races; obstacle, egg and spoon etc and medals to give at the end would appeal to a sporty child
a disco- you can hire lights, decorate the room, put their fave music on to the computer to play at random, they can get dressed up and dance about and feel grown up- make sure you have some games ready for if they get too crazy!
Be inspired by your childs interests and hobbies and have fun!

hooters, definately hooters.

A Nintendo Wii competition !

movie pjama party good luck

Is your child into something particular? Something that would lend itself to a cool brithday theme? I always think that themes lend themselves so well to children's parties as it can help with food choices, games, party bags etc. Get yuor child involved as well- there is nothing more fun that home-grown activities and cakes and things- resist the temptation to get a professional cake made- let your child look through lots of cookery books and decide what cake they want and make it for them. This is something my Mum always did for me and it made me so happy!

if they are a mixed bunch ( boys and girls) then you could do a pyjama party and they all have to bring their teddies with them.

If they are all girls, do a girls party and bring in some nail varnish, beads and brght fabrics for them to dress up in.....you can get loads of cheap stuff at the charity shops or jumble sales.

If its all boys, scalextrics party! works a treat. Big boys can join in too! (dads)
