We asked a friend who's a beautician and another woman who's a Mary Kay consultant to come over and do makeovers for the girls. It was a wonderful night. Everyone had mock-mojitos and frozen strawberry drinks, little tea sandwiches and fun skewers of things to munch on. They got their hair done, facials, learned how to care for their skin and do great makeup. We paid for the samples they got (it was like the grown up goody bag). The whole night was under $100 for 10 girls.

Themes: CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, Winter, animals

Decorations: Pirate ships, hats, etc; fake snow, snowflakes, icicles, white stuff; pics. of dogs, cats, etc., dress like fave. animal, animal-like makeup

Activities: go to skating rink, extreme truth or dare, TP peoples houses, play pranks on younger/older siblings, parents, or 1st person to fall asleep

Hope all of this helps you!!!!!!

um............popcorn fight s eat
drink pepsi
do makeovers

Do a Pink & Brown theme you know the hottest colours right now!

have chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting
do manicures brown nailpolish with pink polka dots

I agree though with the other poster if you could get a Mary Kay consultant to come that would be awesome!! Maybe your mom has a friend that is a MK rep, or a hair dresser that wouldn't mind coming to your place for a couple hours to do a make over. If you have a digital camera you could take before and after pics for the girls :)

Have lots yummy food and good music and you and your friends will have a good time right!!!!

As far as food goes it would be a good idea to have a pasta party. Pasta is cheap and so is the sauce. Buy different types of noodles and several types of sauces. Make the noodles and heat the sauce but do not mix them together. Have fun mixing the different shapes and sauces. Now all you need is to buy some bread sticks and maybe some salad stuff. This may sound cheesy but it is totally in budget.

Do a top model theme. You set up a runway area and have everyone do their best walks/poses and be sure to take pictures. Maybe get a cheap tiara for whoever is deemed the winner.

my neice in december was at a sweet 16 party and like you the family was on a strick budget this is what they done please note if you have a dollar store it would be great

they had a pizza party where each one made there own pizza
spagattie was also served
after the desert mini cupcakes and ice cream
they borrowed a karokee machine which she said they had a great time doing until 10pm
opened gifts
afterward they set up a disco ball and danced until 1
they served mocktails in martini and wine glasses etc
chips / penuts / and rice crispy mini squares/ cheese and crackers was served
at 1 am they watched a movie and talked about everything under the sun ie boys/school etc while doing nails and facials

my neice said they all had a great time but the one thing she liked best was the karokke

HAPPY SWEET 16 BIRTHDAY and many many more
