some great ideas are pizza,chips,soda etc. if theres a theme then be creative. for example if its a valentines day party serve a heart shaped cake with heart gummmis and heart cupcakes. You dont have to be fancy for dinner but you could do like panckaes in like a heart shape with RED berries. the main idea is be creative

Since each kid is not the same you should base the party theme on something your kid likes. Like if he likes movies, base the party on his favorite movie. Most movies have food. Take it from there. Or if he likes say baseball. Have a baseball themed party. Serve Hot Dogs, popcorn, peanuts, hoagie style mini sandwiches etc. Make the decorations fit in with the theme. Just go with whatever your child like. You can't go wrong with that.
