What are some good food ideas for a kids birthday party ?!

Question:

What are some good food ideas for a kids birthday party ?

I just need to prepare some simple dishes that are cheap for my neighbours kids party and there will be around 6 kids only. Help

Answers:
is this party supposed to be serving a meal? if so, kids like pasta(macaoni and cheese or tamato sace)pizza, and fries are one of their favorites. If this is not a meal party, kids like cake, pretzels, popcorn, and chips;though that might be a little to unhealthy!is this a fancy it's a fancy party. you probably shouldn't make anything above (except maybe noodles and sauce)

cake

try finger sandwiches that have fillings they like, ppj, cheese, nothing fancy. They like the small sandwiches.

You can make a pizza or you can serve sandwiches. Of couse you need to make a pie and you need to make a cake too.

i would go with
shells and cheese (2 boxes)
Ham, chicken, turkey, with mayo and cheese on wheat or oat bread, cut into 1/4 bite size pieces.
a veggie tray (broccoli, carrots, cherry tomato's, celery etc.) with ranch dressing
cottage cheese
cup cakes, undecorated and iceing you put on and let them top them with what they want, sprinkles, gummie worms, etc.
Hope this was helpful, good luck and blessings !
Happy Birthday to the Birthday child.

Make it simple and enjoy, just go for some fast food like "KFC", "McDonald"; etc. They are welcome by most children.

No birthday party is complete without a cake, but you'll want your guests to eat real food too. Little hands can easily grasp finger sandwiches (triangles are fine, but why not use cookie cutters for decorative shapes?) Good combinations include cheddar with cranberry mustard, peanut butter and banana, and grilled ham and cheese. Hamburgers and veggie burgers are also great options, and you can create a fun condiment arrangement on your table that includes different mustards, pickles, crumbled bacon bits, lettuce, and tomato.

Of course, the birthday cake should be the piece de resistance! It can be a triple layer chocolate cake, a vanilla sheet cake topped with sweetened whipped cream and strawberries, or a host of pretty cupcakes. Don't forget the ice cream! Say Happy B-day!

Mini Hamburgers are nice. Try using dinner rolls with mini burgers or just meat balls on a toothpick with a sauce.

Hot dogs and/or pizza with fruit punch. And of course cake and ice cream Kids like chucken neggets too.

Make mini pizza bagels : )

I had a bunch of kids over for a celebration and made the most disgusting birthday cake....Kitty Litter Cake...you can type it into the search engine and find out how to make it....i also use the website... www.justkidsrecipes.com for more interesting ideas. Younger kids love it, though the adults may not find it appetizing at all. Boys prefer these ideas....
For the girls, i use "new" sand-pails and shovels and create a pudding/pie dessert with crumbled cookies on top to look like dirt and put candy critters on top coming out of dirt (cookies)...also put some artificial flowers in it....very realistic and served with the shovel...
