Answers:
MODELING PARTY!!! My little sister loves playing dress-up, and since this is one of her many hobbies, I gave her a birthday party with a fashion theme. First we made a list of eight little girls who she wanted to invite. (My little sister is eight)Next, we made the invitations on the computer. I wrote a little poem for the invitations (feel free to use this for invitations if you'd like) The poem went like this: "Guess what? Rebkah's turning nine! Now is your chance to look "oh so fine!" Grab your favorite dress and a pillow for rest! Ask your Mom to drive a mile, because it's Rebekah's 9th birthday-- FASHION MODEL STYLE!!!" We sent these out a week in advance. Also on the invitation we listed what we would be doing at the party. First, the little girls came over and had dinner( we had hot dogs), played games, ate cake, and opened presents. We decided to have the girls sleepover as well, so they all brought sleeping bags and camped-out in the living room. I supervised the party so my Mom could get some rest after it got late. We stayed up until eleven or so and we danced to music, watched "The Emperor's New Groove" and played Twister. The next morning, we got up and they had cereal for breakfast. After everyone had eaten, we began practicing for the Modeling Show! In the invitations we asked the parents to return at three o'clock to pick up their daughters and watch a fashion show! That morning we practiced how the girls would walk, and we told each what order they would be in. Then, we started the makeovers. I fixed all the girls' hair and did their make-up. RIght before the parents arrived, we practiced once more. As the prents arrived, the girls were in the back room pretending like they were famous models in their dressing room. :D After all the parents had been seated, we started the fashion show. They walked down the runway with SuperChick's song "One girl revolution" playing in the back ground (a great song for this type show)Each girl walked down the runway, and walked back. At the end, all the little girls came back and took a group bow. The parents were great, and clapped for minutes! All the girls felt really special, and they each got little lipsticks, mirrors, and brushes as they left. This party was really inexspensive, and my little sister had the time of her life! I wish who ever is searching for a birthday idea a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
