How does table service at a club work?

Table service at a club generally means that you will be provided with a table / booth / area in which you and your guests can sit / stand / etc. The catch is that you are required (simply by virtue of having the "privilege" of having a table) to purchase full bottles of alcohol. I would guess that the average cost of a bottle is between $150-$300. (Yes, that's for the same $30 bottle of Grey Goose that you can get down the street at the liquor store) Plus, some places have a minimum number of bottles which must be purchased.

The bar then provides you with glasses, ice, mixers, etc.

Some places require reservations for table service. Some places provide you with your very own cocktail waitress person who stands there and makes your drinks with your ridiculously expensive bottles of booze.

BEWARE..... Not only do they charge you an arm and a leg for a bottle, but then they have these little bussers running around gathering any glass that's not in someone's hand. That means you'll have "lost" your drink and have to make a new one... which, of course, means you'll end up buying more bottles! It's a vicious cycle.

I've found table service to be wonderful in super popular crowded clubs on weekend nights when you have a large group. That way, you don't freak out as badly when faced with the bill (since there are a lot of people to split it with!) Also, that's the ONLY chance you have to have a place to sit and set your drink down (if you dare!)

You call the club, reserve a vip table, then when you get to the club you order a bottle of liquior of your choice along with two mixers like redbull or cranberry juice. The cost is anywhere from $150 up to $1000. Then you tip on top of that. It actully comes out cheaper then buying round for round if your a big drinker!!! And if you have a group of 8 or so and y'all split it!
