ok if i had a cold cup of water and i sat it on the table 4 a while it would turn hot. but if i had a hot cup of coffee and i sat it on the table 4 a while and it turned cold ... would it turn bac hot again?

no but the other water would heat up beacuse it was warme than room temp?
NO, it would stay at room temperature
if its in the same room on the same table as the water it would not turn cold... it would remain hot.

Only if you heated it back up on the hot plate that is sitting on the table heating up the hot cup of coffee..
I don't know.. i am sure it is right in front of my eyes,, it has something to do w/ the diff between the water , and coffee....why didn't you say they were both water??
your cold water and your hot water would both become room temperture and stay that way until you did something to them or they dried out.
