Question:

Can i cook a living lobster directly over a charcoal grill?

Answers:
NO!!!!!!!!!! how heartless can you be???? lol boil them like everyone else then put them on the grill...

you can,but the tricky part will be holding the bugger down =)

if you wrap it in tin foil, add you wine and butter and a little water so that the steam can penetrait the shell, you will end up with an absolutely delicious meal.

just be sure that your grill is very hot!!!
enjoy!

You can but it sometimes considered cruel. Pierce the back of the head w/ a chef's knife & cut in half, al la Iron Chef, killing the bug. Then grill the halfs. This is not easy! You can always blanche it to kill first, then foil wrap or cut in half to bbq

Not a good idea. YOu need to skewer the tails to keep them from curling up. It also looks nicer if you cut the the top part of the tail down the middle then spread it open until you crack most of the little rib like things on the underside of the tail. Your presentation will be prettier and it will be easier to eat.

I would kill it first.
If you want to be humane, put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes to put it to sleep.
Then take a chef's knife and insert at the joint of head and body, and split the head in half. But do it quickly, okay? then skewer the tail to keep it from curling, but i wouldn't split the whole lobster, because they dry out easily...
