Question: SWEET 16 PARTY IDEAS!!?!!?

So i'm turning 16 in october!. and I want to have a sweet 16 party!. I want to be able to wear a nicer dress!. not like prom, but like a homecoming dress!. I have no idea what to do with my friends!. And i dont want a huge party like the ones you see on MTV, i just want something simple that isnt too expensive but yet my friends and i can still have fun and dress nice!. Any ideas!?
