Question: How to ask people to bring food to Going Away Party I'm throwing for my husband!?
My husband has joined the Air Force and will be leaving soon for his boot camp in Texas!. I'm throwing a going away party for him with friends and family but cannot possibly afford to feed all the people who will be coming!. I'm writing the invitations now to send out but wasn't sure how I should ask people to bring food or drinks!. It's all family and close friends so I know they won't mind bringing something its just that I'm not sure of the wording I should use!. Please help!! :) Thanks!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
you could put "Give ________(your husband's name) a taste of home before he leaves, bring your favorite dish and drink as we wish ___________ the best of luck in his new adventure"Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would suggest in writing the invitation, you add pls!. bring a plate ,finger foods greatly appreciated, plus drinks of your choice!.
that way if they wish to have a alcoholic beverage, or special soft drinks for kids etc!. its not coming out of your pocket, hope this helpsWww@FoodAQ@Com
