How can you tell if salsa has gone bad?
It has always been refrigerated and says use before Dec 2006, but tastes funny

i guess the seal on it has been broken. gotta' go with if it smells funny, looks funny (moldy, too runny or too dry), and tastes off it's probably best to toss it. it's not worth getting sick over!
if it tastes funny, throw it out,
it smells and tastes rotten. if it tastes like anything but salsa, throw it out.
When salsa goes bad it will usually have a sweeter smell to it and will taste a bit acidy. (I will have begun firmenting)
normally mold is a good clue!!!
