Picnic lunch?!

Question:

Picnic lunch?

I want to take my boyfriend on a picnia...what should i pack in the picnic basket???
and for the guys...do you thinks it's a little too mushy to go on a picnic with your girlfriend?

Answers:
Sandwiches made with thick, crusty bread. Or a baguette, & take along cheeses, proscuitto, cherry tomatoes, pickles. Fruits can be chilled pre-cut mangoes or water melon, or a variety of whole fruits(cherries, grapes, nectarines, peaches etc). A bottle of white wine,or if you're not into alcohol, then you can prepare ahead, a fruit punch,(sugarless) and freeze it in a plastic utensil.

cheese, wine, passion fruit: strawberries with whip cream or grapes you can feed him... have fun.

You could always do the cold fried chicken thing. Or maybe some cheese and crackers and fruit.

Go to his favorite deli, get his and your favorite sandwiches, something sweet for dessert, some grapes to snack on, and a good bottle of your favorite red AND white wines. Make sure the white wine has been chilled in the fridge overnight, and in the freezer for a half hour before you head out. And no, it's not too mushy to go on a picnic with your girlfriend, especially if you can talk her into getting undressed for dessert.

No I don't think its to mushy to go on a picnic. Take along a six pack of good beer not the usual or some wine. A good french baguette some cheese some fruit youre good to go!Depending on were you are at could be the best picnic you ever had

Cheese, wine, crackers, fruit and chocolate sauce. Have fun!

think about what he likes, most guys love fried chicken (even cold)
or maybe some hams and cheeses
wine/beer
fruit
nothing too messy though and something where there isn't much to clean up, you want to enjoy each other!

Dont be normal hony....

Take something original......take toasted bread or crackers and have bruchetta to top it.....

take grillled grilled asperagus wrapped in procuitto....good cold!!!

take shrimp with cocktail sauce, and present it in a wine glass with ice on the bottom, covered with cocktail sauce, ring the glass with shrimp.......prepare it while you send him to the car for something "you forgot"

have wine and a cheese tray, I know its cliche but so what, have exotic cheeses! Make it pretty by having a wooden board layered with lettuce leaves and spreaders for the cheeses....the fun kind, cheap at home stores.

buy some cheesecake slices and bring your own topping and prepare it for you special someone!

the ideas are endless...just be creative and have fun!!

Make a beautiful muffalata (basically a ham/turkey/provolone sub with olive salad spread on the nice crusty bread)

Pair it with some fresh fruit, especially peaches this time of year, as well as some potato salad, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, and a simple dessert like apple pie.

Make sure you bring a nice bottle of wine, red or white both good, but red if you're not going to be able to keep it chilled. Think about a nice Chianti.

As for a picnic being too mushy....naw. Guys actually like them because they're unpretentious and you can find a nice quiet out of the way place to just relax together. Just keep the wine and food plentiful and a little good music to set the right mood and he'll love it.

Make up a wonderful basket with both red and white wines, a beautiful antipasto platter, bruschetta with fresh basil and mozzarella, and a wonderful long Italian sandwich dressed with olives, olive oil, fresh herbs and a little balsamic vinegar.

Then after lingering on that for awhile, pull out a nice dish of chocolate-covered fruits that you can feed to each other and some small, bite-sized cookies that will melt in his mouth.
