What shall I make my bloke for his tea?
I need to go out and get some food to make dinner as I promised to cook, but I'm lacking inspiration. Sender of the recipe/idea I end up using will get the 'best answer' prize. PS He won't eat lime or walnuts and we don't need a pudding, just a main and possibly a starter.
Answers:
I suppose a traditional meal like lamb chops, and boiled potatoes.
Or a quiche, bangers n mash, garlic bread for a starter, soup, chicken drumsticks and mashed potato.
Just do a main course.
Mixed grill with chips and peas, all men love that!

Ingredients
4 chicken breasts, diced
1 red pepper, sliced into chunks
4 green chillies, sliced lengthways
1 tbsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
4 inch cinnamon stick
2 cardomom pods
4 cloves
? tsp turmeric
? pint (275 ml) brown stuff
2 tbsp fresh coriander, finely chopped
2 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp ghee, for frying
Starter, Tin of soup, main course tin of baked beans and some bread, with cheese grated to sprinkle over the top! Surely he can heat them up!

try something simple grilled salmon with salad or chicken and salad .buy selection of soft fruits[strawberry's, mandarins] and dip them in melted chocolate drink with champagne.as this won't take long to prepare spend a little time on you . encourage your man to shower and eat in shorts or dressing gown. and have fun.

Make Parsnip/bacon and thyme cakes followed by a thai green curry with plenty of lemongrass. Desert - you could buy fruit and whipped cream for other uses LOL
Get some really nice fillet steak and do steak ,chips, mushrooms , onions and gravy.
for starters i would serve garlic mushrooms with warm crusty rolls...
main dish i would serve frying steak with onions in gravy with new potatoes and fresh veg...
