16th Birthday!! =] What to do....Help!!!?!

Question: 16th Birthday!! =] What to do....Help!!!?
I'll be turning 16 towards the end of the month and I don't know what to do for my party. I know I want to have a couple close friends spend the night and then do something with more friends the next day (like 20 people if that). I just don't want my parents spending a lot of money (like at all!) Right now they're saving up for my car insurance so the budget would be like $150 max. I kinda wanted it to be somewhere other then my house. I don't like the idea of just playing and dancing to music the whole time. Btw: I live in Florida. The beach isn't very practical this time of year. Any ideas??

Answers:

I didn't have a huge budget for my sweet 16 either because i had a huge bat-mitzva. I had a murder mystery party for my sweet 16. All my friends dressed up for their part and had a script and acted it out. It was actually a lot of fun and my friends said they liked it becuase it was different then just having a dance party.
For decorations my dad took tape and make a body outline in the drive way and used ketchup to make bloody sneaker prints. And we got caution tape to put around it to make it look like a crime scene. It actually came out really cool.
Invites were really cheap too. i got old looking paper and started out with something like "There has been a murder at (my address). Join me for my KILLER sweet 16 at (time & date) to find out who did it!

I understand I am trying to do the same thing for my daughters 15th birthday and she feels the same....God bless you both......anyway I suggested maybe a get together at a fun place like a D&B or a game or laser tag place. If you let your friends know ahead then they know to bring money and it will still be all about you as you all enjoy the night. Hope this helps....BTW Happy Sweet 16!

if you really want to save money for your parents, why can't you just spend the night with your parents only?
