Ideas for presentation at buffet?!
There'll be things like:
Cheese and biscuits (lots of varieties of each)
Paté and toast
Sausage rolls
Boiled ham in slices
Dips and breadsticks
Salad, grapes
Does anyone have any tips for presenting the food, to make it look all schmancy? :P

Put food on nice silver platters and use romaine or butter lettuce leaves to lie on the plates before you put the ham on it. Use doilies or a fancy placemat under each platter. Or use various colored bowls and round and square plates in bold colors. Use food as decor apples, lemons, limes and oranges in a round vase or bowl
you should use platforms for some of the dishes so it's appealing to the eye. You can use books cloaked in an attractive piece of material. The plates should be at one end of the table and the silverware, napkins and breads should be at the other end. People don't mind putting a roll on top of an already packed plate but it's hard to pile food on top of a roll. You also want to leave them a free hand to serve themselves free of holding silverware.
Beverages, glasses, ice and sweets should be at a seperate table.
Make sure to line the bread basket with a napkin. You can roll the silverware in napkins and put them all in a nice basket (even if it is plastic cutlery and paper napkins).
Make sure to decorate with flower or foliage.
Finger foods are best for buffets but be sure to have an assortment of hot and cold choices.
I would serve stuffed mushrooms, crudite, mini quickes, mini beef welingtons, bacon wrapped scallops, chicken kabobs, soutwestern eggrolls, spicy rice and sausage, fruit bowl and shrimp cocktail.
You can order bulk assorted appetizers at

and make the party a breaze by only having heat and serve everything.
Think up. Leaf lettuce is a good start. Find all the goblets you can, fill them with grapes, hang strawberries over the edges, cut and dice cheeses in different shapes, have the grapes hang over the edges of the glasses, and sprinkle platters with mixed berries.
