How many ice cubes in a cooler will it take to keep food cold?!

Question:

How many ice cubes in a cooler will it take to keep food cold?

Does the food need to touch the ice or will the ice keep the air cold?

Answers:
at least half the cooler . is good enough but if it very hot out go 3/4 full.

The amount of ice is directly proportional to the size of the cooler and the volume of food. Better put, fill the thing with food and put the ice on it. Check it frequently for adequate cooling and add more ice as necessary. simple !

Place containers with food in first. Cover directly and fully with ice. The sides and bottom provide walls of cold insulation. The risk is above the food so keep it covered with ice..

To keep the food at the coolest & safest temperature, keep the LEAST amount possible of air in the cooler. As ice melts, air gaps happen. Fill them with items that dont require refridgeration but wont be harmed by it or by water.

Open a cooler and cold air pockets are replaced with warm ones. You want the cooler always full as possbile.

If possible, have one thats opened often and one that remains mostly closed for risky foods (chicken, burgers, mayo based).

Dont forget to clean your bum hole

I dont know how many???
