How many people can I fit it my house for a bridal shower?!

Question: How many people can I fit it my house for a bridal shower?
I am throwing a bridal shower for my sister and I volunteered to have it at my house. However, now I am worried that it will be too crowded. There were about 53 people invited, but I know 2 families will not come. So that leaves about 45 people. Our living room and kitchen area is 570 square feet. Then we have an outside patio that is about 15x7. We will be grilling food outside so I'll also have a few chairs set up outside. Does this seem like enough space?
Also I will have a table for 10 set up inside and a table for 10 set up on the patio.

Take them to McDonald's !!!

I wouldn't worry...people make do when it's a party...some tend to sit in one place while others mingle around; having the outdoors available is a big help. The important thing is that you were gracious enough to offer your home and that your sister will be thrilled with her shower of gifts! If you need more chairs, ask a few people to bring some folding chairs if they have them (we've done that).

20 seats and 53 people? Rent a Knights of Columbus hall.

33

that should good

The last bridal shower I had in my home I set up my dining table with "finger" foods: meatballs, chicken wings, 2 different salads, chicken salad croissants, ham roll-ups, veggie trays, etc. And of course, the cake for dessert and a sweet tray. I had a separate table for punch, wine, coffee tea, etc. You'll need a chair for each person to sit on. I moved all of the furniture out of my living room and used folding chairs and spilled out into the hallway, dining room and kitchen. The bride-to-be was seated in front of a picture window with her bridesmaids around her to keep track of the gifts and her flower girl handed out favors as everyone left. It worked out fine not having a sit down luncheon. Good Luck.
