Is there a name....?!

Question:

Is there a name....?

..for the kind of social gathering that occurs when you were going to have a barbecue but because of heavy rain you all have to go indoors and eat the same kind of food only it isn't cooked on an actual barbecue any more?

Answers:
the proper english word for this is a HOUSE-E-Q

Party

I would still call it a barbecue

Yeah it's called "oh, bugger!"

washout?

The inside barbie?

I would class it as a bbq/party if it was me..

Hi:

Firstly, if your talking about today, you must not be in San Jose, CA. We are burning up here today!!

My answer would be: Call it a "Rain Delay" or "Rain Out". It used to happen to us when my son was in little-league.

Or...just call it what it is, a party!!!

Did you know that you can call any public library and they will look up the answer to "any" question you ask.

I've used it for everything from how to properly set my silverware for a formal dinner party, to what was Ricky Ricardo's nightclub called (Tropicana or Copacabana) ... It was Tropicana, of course, but I proved myself a worthy opponent at Trivial Pursuit that day.

Good Luck

sure there`s a name 4 such a thing... JINX

mixed grill

yes its called a party or a lot of wet people eating barbecued food indoors that's not cooked on a barbecue. bit long but i think its catchy or

Not sure what you'd call this, but there probably is a name for it, I'd call it a failed barbecue or non-barbecue. You can avoid this by inviting someone you don't like much and making them stand outside barbecuing with a large umbrella.

A barbecue fiasco!

a get together

a not so barbecue party, that is. hehe want some better barbecue of beer barbecue? -- http://recipe.gotblab.com/category/barbe...

a "fu*k up"?
an "aww sh*t we should have checked the weather forecast"?
an "the fu*king bast*rd weatherman got it wrong AGAIN!"?

these are my suggestions anyway :)
