Plan/Plot for Murder Mystery Party?!

Question: Plan/Plot for Murder Mystery Party?
I want to have a very small murder mystery party... *not including the murdered person* with only 5 people *including myself*. I have come up with names and an idea. It is the last meeting for their current book in a Lady's Book Club. The host is killed in her home. She is pushed out of a window, but it is made to look like an accident. I've already planned how she was killed, with what, etc., and backgrounds for each character. My only problem is that I don't want to use a script; but how else do I get some of my characters to go into the room that they would be in when the host is killed, and how do I lead them to find the clues? Do I kind of direct them to it without giving too much away, or is it a better idea to just give them a script for the beginning, then leave the rest (after they find the clues) for them to piece together?

Really, what I'm asking is how do I put a murder mystery party together? Thanks:)
