You didn't mention your budget for this event, but here are some ideas you might enjoy:

1. Hot artichoke dip with blue corn tortilla chips
2. Spinach dip in bread bowl with sourdough bread for dipping
3. Crudites: carrots, cauliflower, grape tomatos, cucumbers, green beans (blanche to make crisp tender),bell pepper slices (red, orange, yellow), ranch dressing.
4. Charcuterie: slices of sopressata, fennel salami, prosciutto, pepper salami
5. Cheese Platter: seedless grapes, cambozola, Spanish Manchega, Irish White Cheddar, Brie, Smokey Gouda
6. Condiments: marinated olives, including jalapeno stuffed green olives, pepperoncini, gardinia (marinated veges), marinated mushrooms, artichoke hearts.
7. Lil smokies in puffed pastry
8. Wings (teriyaki and buffalo style) with blue cheese dipping sauce
9. Hummus with pita chips
10. Brownie bites, mini tartlets, cookies, or a chocolate fondue with pound cake chunks, strawberries, bananas, dried apricots, etc.

Good luck!

Actually my entire family decided last year for Thanksgiving we were doing all finger foods to spend more time together instead of cooking all day. Everybody brought different finger foods and what turned out to be the best were the sandwich rolls that you get in the freezer section. Out of 4 cartons not one was left. Then of course the classic was the hot dog winners in BBQ sauce, and also the meatballs in a different style BBQ sauce. Everything else was hardly touched. Also if you can afford it a cheese platter always works perfect, or a cheese ball. You can get all these items at walmart for under $30. Add a little decorations, don't forget toothpicks with the deco on the end and you are ready. Best part about it is that the preparation time is less than 25 min for it all. Have fun.
PS for the hot dog winners and meatballs we took 2 crock pots and put them over in with their BBQ sauce and let them heat up and stay on warm for the entire night to keep them warmed up.
