Would you be offended if I offered you a hot drink in a mug with a chip?!

....kind of reminds me of the cute Disney movie "Beauty and the Beast" where there's Mrs. Potts (the teapot) and a child named "Chip" the teacup. So I wouldn't mind a chip....even imperfections have their own kind of beauty ;).

Thank you for offering me a hot drink, you are a kind host. I am going to be a gracious guest and sip from the mug you so generously offered. Who am I to judge the vessel from which I have been offered a nice warm beverage.
What I have done on a previously chipped mug, clear nail polish so it doesn't continue to chip away.

Wouldn't bother me at all. As long as the chip isn't on the rim where I could cut myself. But if it's startig to crack then definitely don't use it to drink out of any more.

Just chip all the mugs and call them rare antiques.
