When I make food for parties, I generally make enough of each item for about 1/4 of the people. That way most of the stuff gets eaten up and there is still enough for everyone.
I love to make tartlets. You can buy filo dough shells at the store (or make them yourself with filo dough and a mini muffin pan). I stuff them with a mixture of cream cheese, cooked salmon and dill. Also I make ones with cream cheese, spinach, feta cheese and rosemary. They are delicious, upscale and easy to eat.
The alabama hot pocket is always great for guest, I would recommend making 1-2 per person cause they can be filling but do not worry they are cheap to make.
