Thailand. Fabulous curries, excellent fresh seafood, a wide variety of tropical fruits and vegetables, and very exotic and creative spices. Much lighter and healthier than most European cuisines, except maybe around the Mediterranean. I came back with lots of terrific Thai recipes to make for my friends at home.
Well if you are deciding based on their food, it depends on what types of food you like best. For example, Italy is probably a good place for an array of pastas. Germany has a lot of different types of bread that are delicious. But I think most countries have their own 'specialty' foods. Like here in the USA, we have hot dogs and hamburgers as our specialty! :) As far as other 'great' countries, I think pretty much all countries are 'great' in their own way. Also, it depends on your interests; what you want to do while you are away (ex. surfing, touring historic monuments, etc...)

*I am really into the European countries. Traveling through those countries is kind of the equivalent to me traveling through states in the U.S. Since the countries are smaller (like states), that is why it is similar. Road trip across Europe! :)
my choice would have to be italy--they have the best food by far, i would suggest going there just to sample the gelati,,,it is soooooooooo awesome
