Cold sandwiches, friut, and whip cream!!!

vegetables are cheap, and it's not too hard to do up something nice like some sliced veggies with a little fresh herbs (fennel, mint, tarragon, dill, etc.) and an inexpensive cheese such as mozzarella, along with some Carr's water crackers. You can probably fit that into $20. IF you can spare it, try affording some berries, as the sweet touch will go nicely with the cheese, or if not, just get a small jar of some marmalade (such as orange or lime) or even a cheap jam in a pinch.

Hope the occasion is happy! Enjoy.

I dig wine, cheese, french bread, grapes and apples. Eat it in front of a fire. My fiance and I usually eat it in front of Alex Trebek while we get smarter.

All I can think of is fruit and ice cream! Aaargh! Excuse me, I am caught in a heat wave, it has been blazing hot here...for over a week...

yeah, this is feeble - but really WELL PRESENTED fruit and ice cream would be lovely, drizzle dark chocolate to crackle over it?

dont know much about japanese, but if you want a great italian sandwich or panino, get some prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, red ripe tomatoes, fresh basil leaves and a little drizzle of olive oil... simply delectable!! easy dessert can be some strawberries covered with cool whip, simple, sensual and satisfying

by the time you read this the special evening will have passed.
I think taco dinners are nice (costs about $20 and you have lots of leftovers), and it's finger food for a picnic. It does take time to prepare though.

Or if you wanted to bring in food for a picnic either subway sandwiches or KFC dinners are nice....or you could have japanese or chinese dinners delivered.

To celebrate something special like an anniversary I like going out to eat to some restaurant on top of a building (maybe the restaurant rotates) to see the sunset. If you go on a weekday you don't have to spend a lot, maybe like go only for dessert and drinks..

Pasta dinners are quick and easy to prepare. What could be more romantic than picturing yourself in Rome or Venice? Light some candles. Have a bottle of chianti. Some dark chocolate for dessert.

Go light with the food so that neither of you get tired. Use foods that you can feed each other. Grapes, strawberries dipped in chocolate syrup or just rolled in sugar, watermelon or cantaloupe chunks salted. I bring up salt and sugar because both activate a chemical in the brain that brings pleasure, depending on their preference and some people it is both.

Also any foods that the two of you can play with, whip cream or licking the chocolate sauce. A woman can look pretty seductive eating a banana, if see wants too.

My guess is that he will be more interested in the signals that he gets from you than what’s on the menu.

Good luck and keep up the romance.

Chicken Marsala for 2

4-8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced (1/2 to 1 cup sliced)
1/2 cup Marsala wine

How to Prepare:
Pound chicken to 1/4" thickness between 2 sheets of plastic wrap. Combine flour, salt, pepper, and basil; mix well. Heat oil and butter in a heavy non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Dredge chicken in seasoned flour mixture. Cook chicken until lightly browned on first side (about 2 minutes). Turn chicken and add mushrooms around the chicken pieces. Cook Time: 15-20 minutes

Everyone has great ideas. I can't think of anything to top them, except oysters on the half shell with red sauce. They're an aphrodisiac as well. Oh, definitely strawberries, but dip them in hot dark chocolate sauce. Trace his lips as you feed them to him. Have fun!

try some cheap chinese takeout, and eat it in a romantic park as a nighttime picnic

Steve 8425 hit it right on the nose. I would go with his ideas. Simple, quick and sexy!

Anything you can eat with your fingers and feed each other. We like to do happy hour type food, finger sandwiches, cubed cheese...
