How can I increase the humidity in my cigar humidor?!

Question:

How can I increase the humidity in my cigar humidor?

My humidor has small container with florist foam which is soaked, but I still have to put a sponge in the humidor and I have not been able to get the humidity above 65%. I did season it by wiping it with a damp sponge. Any suggestions?

Answers:
buy a cigar of inferior quality.preferably a filler tobacco.completely soak it in your favorite spirit. drop it in a cigar tube, then put in the middle of all your cigars.
also the humidity in the room has a lot to do with it.
the higher the humidity in the room the higher it will hold in the canister.

I used to work at a tobacconist's store and we had built-in cupboards (the place was built about 100 years ago). In those cupboards, we had metal trays (sort of like cookie pans with 1" sides) in the bottom below the shelving. We had to keep those trays filled with water - usually checked them twice a day - filled them once or twice a day. This kept our cigars just fine.

Pee in it.
