Salmon can go with white wine or a light red wine...no robust reds. I'd recomend a Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, or Chardonnay....best bet may be the Chardonnay.
Definitely go with a nice white wine that isn't going to overpower the flavor of the fish.
I prefer Pinot Grigio but a Sauvignon Blanc or Reisling (which is sweeter) would be good as well.
One article I read said stay away from Chardonnay, but it doesn't really matter.
Also, be sure to spend between $10-20. Any less and you could end up with some real junk, any more you're probably just wasting your money.
White Wine. Red wine can over-power most fish. Salmon is much more rich than most so if you both prefer red it would be fine, but typically White Wine with fish
Try a Chardonnay; it is a dry, full, white wine
Personally prefer Pinot Noir. You can look for other idea:
