What are some good finger foods and songs to play at my house party?!

Question: What are some good finger foods and songs to play at my house party?
I'm 17 and I'm having a house party Sunday night. My friend is the dj until 10 and then once he leaves we're just going to use ipod speakers to play music. What's some good music that will keep everyone dancing? And what are some good finger food ideas? And yes, there will be drinking so are there any easy to make recipes for alcoholic beverages I can make? You know, like a screw driver just takes vodka and orange juice. Something like that.

You're going to have to come up with finger food on our own but here is what I would say are the top party and dance songs out right now:

Flo Rida - Who Dat Girl
Black Eyed Peas - The Time
Baby Bash - Go Girl
Bruno Mars - Grenade
Chris Brown - Yeah
Mike Posner - Please Don't Go
Nelly - Liv Tonight
Enrique Iglesias - Tonight
Wiz Khalifa - Black and Yellow
Rihanna - Only Girl
Waka Flocka Flame - No Hands
Far East Movement - Like a G6
Flo Rida - Club Can't Handle Me
Taio Cruz - Dynamite
Edward Maya - Stereo Love
Nelly - Just a Dream
Eminem - Love the Way You Lie
Auburn - La La La
Travie McCoy - Billionaire
David Guetta - Gettin Over You
Lady Gaga - Alejandro
Kevin Rudolf - I Made It
Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP - We No Speak Americano
B.o.B. - Magic
Drake - Find Your Love
Nicki Minaj - Your Love
B.o.B. - Airplanes
Black Eyed Peas - Rock That Body
Katy Perry - California Girls
Baby Bash - Fantasy Girl
B.O.B. - Nothing On You

I'm in my 40's and I think there's nothing better than classic rock or classic country. Elvis, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Styx, ELO. Just play popular music if your friends aren't in to old stuff. Popular finger foods are spinach dip, french onion dip, deviled eggs (go like crazy), pigs in a blanket, pizza. I don't think you guys need anything stronger than wine coolers or lite beer. And please have some designated drivers. I lost a classmate to drunken driving in the 10th grade.

Food:
- buy pizza, slice it into finger size
- garlic and butter mushroom, fry mushroom in garlic and butter
- buffalo wings
- Cheese sticks

Songs:
- any new song will do... like 2012, like a G6 etc. Just make sure there's no dull moment

Enjoy!

I agree with the suggestion to keep the music mixed...nothing wrong with playing favorites from past years mixed with today's songs. I always liked Billy Idol (Dancing with Myself, Rebell Yell--those are fast ones)...Styx (Too Much Time on My Hands, Mr. Robotix and more), anything by Michael Jackson,...I'm sure your DJ friend knows some great party music (and you can always google songs by genre ...best dance music, etc).

Easy drinks...besides wine coolers....rum and coke, 7&7, gin and tonic, vodka and cranberry juice

Food>>>make a 7 layer taco dip and have the chips (recipe online)
pizza will go, deviled eggs will go, fruit kebabs on party picks stuck into half a melon for something refreshing (pineapple chunks, grapes, maraschino cherries, and whatever melon you're cutting up...be it watermelon, honeydew, or cantaloupe)

chips and dips or make a bread bowl to hold the dip and rip up the bread into chunks for dipping

Make some sweet treats....fudge? bar cookies? brownies? (that's so usual, though)....or can do something easy like CHINESE NOODLE CANDIES>>
1 pkg butterscotch chips
1 pkg chocolate chips
1 20 oz pkg chow mein noodles

Heat candies carefully in double boiler, remove and mix noodles in to coat them well...lift out using 2 forks to grasp clumps and dry on waxed paper...can put into fridge to keep. (If you use microwave to melt candy...be very careful ...only use 50% power and heat for 40 seconds...then keep checking doing it in short increments at a time until completely melted...don't forget to stir it from time to time).
