Romantic dinner ideas? Cheap too...?!

Question: Romantic dinner ideas? Cheap too...?
So me and my Fiance' are rounding our one year anniversary, and I want everything to be perfect. I want everything to be dark and romantic, I decided to cook instead of go out, but everything seems so hard... I want everything to be perfect, but me and him are both picky. I asked him what he would like and he replied "buritos." So right now, I am just picking through recipes trying to find somehting we both like that is also pretty cheap... but extravagant. The meal to go like this. (since he doesn't like salad) I replaced it with a fruit salad, strawberries, blue berries, etc., so that is easy... I think that is romantic. next is the main course and all I have down is the bread... :( Its just wheat bread sticks with an italian olive oil sauce..

So here is where I need help. I need a main course, a side, and a dessert. but here is where we go wrong. I dont like meat VERY MUCH. like steaks, chicken or beef unless its jerky, and stuff like that arent really an option. I like pastas and alfredos, but i think its just a whatever thing to him. I want him to really say WOW, did she really cook that? he doesn't like vegetables also...

for dessert, i wanted to do chocolate espresso lava cakes, but that seems like so much work... if u can find a really easy recipe with not so many ingredients, that would be nice.. or something else. i would rather not do an entire cake, or cupcakes also... so please help!!!!

I am desperate.

I think a pasta or chicken would be nice. Look up chicken breast recipes online. Maybe something garlic-y to go with the breadsticks?
You could do chocolate fondue for dessert. You don't REALLY need a fondue set. Look up chocolate fondue recipes online. You'll only need cream and chocolate chips probably. Then get some strawberries, bananas (they're awesome in fondue), and rice krispie treats and maybe marshmallows and dip them in the chocolate. YUM! My boyfriend and I do this often with sparkling apple juice. (I hate wine.) :)

If you could make a spaghetti sauce, you could put it in a casserole with your favorite pasta, some monterey jack and pepper jack cheese and bake it. Guys usually like pepper jack. I make my sauce with ground turkey instead of beef, lots of Rosemary and Oregano. As for dessert, what about something with ice cream? Like warm brownies, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge.

Here are some good Italian recipes. They are easy too.
