Finger foods are eaten with bare fingers, how do i serve them?!

Question:

Finger foods are eaten with bare fingers, how do i serve them?

will i provide a serving spoon or my guests will just take from the platter with their bare hands? thanks.

Answers:
Tongs should be used, or a spoon or fork. Would you want 20 other people pawing at your food before you grab it?

I think tongs may be in order here. That way people don't have to worry about others having touched their portion. Best wishes

You should provide a serving spoon or toothpicks.

Well, depending on what the food is, you could serve it with toothpicks (ie- if it is raw veggies, you can provide some toothpicks so that guests don't have to dive in with their hands).

provide your guests with cocktail plates and cocktail napkins. You can serve them straight from the platter, and let them put a few things on their plates.

you can put out a serving spoon, or a bowl of tooth picks, or stick tooth picks into the food so it can be grabbed by that. Most people would prefer for politeness sake not to touch food at parties with their bare hands.

tooth picks!

Use the plain ones or the fancy ones with the little fuzzy ends in anything that they can be pierced with. Place the "food" on plates or platters with the toothpicks all standing up for easiest serving. Make sure you also place some extras in a shot glass or toothpick holder on the table.
This allows you to serve individual items without worry about bare hands touching everything. For things that would crumble or crack--like crackers--a serving spoon or tongs works well.

make sure you are seen scratching your butt when serving them.

I think if its something like sandwiches then just have them on a platter ready to serve!!!

it would be more hygienic if you served the food with spoons and tongs. it would be pretty nasty and unappealing to you and your guests if people got food with their bare hands. it's okay if they eat with their hands.

tongs, serving spoons and cocktail sticks

Toothpicks are GREAT

well it kinda matters what your surving if your searving ribs you might want tongs if your searving shrimp then just do a platter mastly it depends on what you make...

Use a platter but make sure there are plates around

naked

with your hands and the rest of your body should move in sequence. thus move one foot in front of thy other untill you have reached the person to whom will be eating the food you prepared for them. then with your right hand {depending on which handed you are, could be left handed too but i dont know for sure so proceed to do with whatever you are comfortable with, and then shave ya nuts.

TONGS! Decorative ToothPicks work well also. I won't eat anything that everyone has handled with their bare hands.

bare hands dont worry about it

Please use tongs! I wouldn't want to eat off a tray other people are diving into with there bare hands ( seen to many people walk out of a restroom without washing there hands ) I even saw a nurse on the nursery floor do this . Keep it clean OK.

Rubber gloves, disinfected face masks to retard germs being emitted from our mouths, sterilized toothpicks, a robotized server and extra sanitized napkins. I have decided that as long as a question is so easy that at least 10 people will have the answers, at least I can add a little humor for my two points. OK.

SET TONGS BESIDE THE PLATTER

tongs

I would have a serving utensil close for those who want to use it and for those who don't napkins lots of napkins

I always provide toothpicks, preferably plastic, and small paper saucers. Make sure you have a garbage receptacle handy for the discards.

don't misunderstand the meaning of finger foods. yes, YOU eat it with YOUR fingers, however, don't let everyone else touch your food. It may offend someone. and you can't just ask, "hey, if you're a nose picker keep your hands out of the food."

Tongs, tootpicks.

Some finger foods usually have tooth picks in them to especially at parties. That way everyone takes one and eats it directly. You can also have cocktail forks for everyone and Tongs for taking food from a platter.

?

Finger foods are usualy served on a napkin or at more high end events on a craker or bread of some sort. they should be prepared this way befor presenting them to your guest so that no one has to finger the food but the guest about to eat it

toothpicks
