HIRE someone to do it for you. There are a lot of people who specialize in Parties becasue I can tell you this is going to cost you some money unless of course you get some things donated or rent them. I suggest you think about WHAT you want.
Do you want a Vintage Hollywood style party? meaning the 1940-1960s era where you have lots of black and white photos on the walls of which you can purchase really cheap. You all could come dressed as your favorite hollywood stars the costumes would be CHEAP and could be found in thrift stores or online

You can make it more of a theme party of favorite tv shows you liked
Gilligan, The Monsters, Brady Bunch and break down the areas of the venue with those titles. just pick some of your favorite tv shoes or think about this.

** see if you can get some of it for FREE or donations
** Hollywood is such a huge thing WHAT part of hollywood do you want. close your eyes think of hOllywood.. List 10 things that remind you of Hollywood
1. The Sign I'm sure so make sure you get some of those in the decor for your party
2. MovieStars who are your favorite celebs? Maybe get photos of them you can cheap on ebay there are so many of them
3. Invitations to friends could be sent on paper fit for a celeb with little stars notions inside the invite
4. YOu have to have a BAND who plays great music and if they can play TV show tunes or stuff people like. that would be great.
5. Maybe have friends dress in costumes or something dress stars, characters
OR you could have it like an awards show bring out the red carpet or a huge red fabric but you need to think about the cost.
If money is no object sometimes you can hire celebs to come to your party.

How about an awards night? Best dressed, etc. You could all get overdressed & madeup & act like your favorite actresses/celebrities. You could have your mom chauffeur you to McDonald's - everything needs to be way over the top. I wear a big tiara all day on my birthday.
Set up your own "Walk of Fame" by getting floor mats with the names of all of your guests on them. As they come in, you can trace around their hands and feet and have them sign their names. If you want something even more fun, do it on big squares of muslin and turn it into a memory quilt for yourself.
Create autograph books and give one to each person as s/he comes in so that they can go around and sign each others'.
Make the dress code "superstar" and give out prizes for things like "most glamorous" or "biggest stud".
Just like at the Oscars, you could give away gift bags. Include things like funky sunglasses, lotions and colognes from the dollar store, big puffy scrubbers, etc. The more fun the better.
Have your cake made in the shape of a big golden star and "sign" it yourself in icing.

Well a really cool thing to have is a Hollywood murder mystery if you can find one. Have film marker key chains for table placers. Have a red carpet ( plastic) and a rainbow of black and white balloons. Tables should have a flower ( white rose) in the middle.
Have fancy music playing. Some games you can play are " guess this star." "A personal Emmy awards" and acting scenarios. Dress up like a specific star. Have small squares of fake cement or ever play dough to place hands in.
Black and white and a side color of red is a must have for celebrity dinning.
Also have fake wine glasses and serve a look-a-like cocktail drink.
Have you ever been to Planet Hollywood? Do it like they do their restaurant and have famous costumes and posters of famous actors. Good ones for now would be like Spiderman, new Superman, and their love interests. Put up the mirror ball and make it look retro and invite your guests into coming in costume of their favorite Hollywood actor or actress. Have prizes for best ones. Have people guess who they are. Keep the food simple but use names of famous people for the food and have the menu on the table with more cut outs from your favorite movies. Have a great time!!
