Something different for dinner?!

Question:

Something different for dinner?

Next friday I'll have a dinner at my place with 6 friends, and I don't want to cook a big dish, but I'd like many different small dishes, maybe 5 or 6 per person.
What could you suggest ?

Answers:
Sounds like the perfect Tapas party!

You could also do a Moroccan/Arabic night with
Chicken shish kebabs
Lamb and pear tajine/tagine
Lamb Shawarma with warm hummus (it's a stew that you'd serve in a ring of warmed hummus that you'd make ahead)
Stuffed Grape leaves
Couscous
Batinjan Zalud
Fatoush
Tabouleh
Honey pastries

you could make curry and serve it with all those little dishes of chutney and relish, your house would smell like the sewers of bombay but it would be a cool dinner

Try India food.Getr a cook book on Indian cuisine and try it.Ur friends will really like it.Especially the desserts!!!

turkey roll ups yummy take to boxes of stove top stuffing turkey
make it as it says on the box get 2 pounds of turkey breast in the deli sliced med put stuffing in turkey breast roll them then put turkey gravey on them put in oven at 350 for half hour then make mashed potatoes and a veggie it is the bomb good luck

Thats a good idea; to have different small dishes instead A big dish. Am thinking, a nice salad like Caesar's salad, Gazpacho soup, hummous and pita bread, a light pasta dish, roasted/ grilled veggies or salmon and some easy to whip up dessert.

Pieces of Pound cake - dip in melted chocolate
Pieces of Fruit - for the choc also
Pieces of Bread - dip in cheese

Vegi tray to accompany

Sweet and Sour Fish.

I'm not sure if you like salmon but it is always a hit at my house.

I take some salmon filets rub it with olive oil so it will be soft and tender.
Then I sprinkle a blend of spices on top you can use anything really. ( I use a little thyme, paprika, salt, chili powder)
Then I cut thin slices of lime or lemon and place a few on the salmon filets, makes for great flavor and aroma.
Bake it in the oven on 350 for about 20 to 25 minutes depending.

Its fresh and lite so you can save room for dessert!
I hope I helped.

You can do an american tapas...meaning fingerfoods, or a 5 course dinner.

soup, salad, appetizer, entree, and desert.

cheesecake is a great desert,
a citrus salad would be yummy and light
you want a light soup maybe a vegetable
a steak entree
and maybe a twice baked potato appetizer
all small portions cause of so many .
