What types of items should I serve for a "Brunch" reception?!

Question: What types of items should I serve for a "Brunch" reception?
My wedding reception will be at 11am, so I thought a "brunch style" reception would be nice. But I'm trying to make up a menu right now and not doing very well.. Heres what I have so far, please tell me what else you think I should add (or remove). Thank you!!

Tiny sandwhiches (variety)
cottage cheese
fruit salad
crackers & meats/cheese
Candy bar with personalized m&ms
cupcakes + wedding cake
Iced Tea
Lemonade (pink)
Water

Any other ideas? What are typical brunch foods? Thank you!

Are you foregoing a caterer and thinking of preparing the food yourself? Here are some ideas following the menu you've already planned:

1) Tiny sandwiches (called canapes) can be served open faced or closed. If you want it to look a bit more impressive, serve more open faced (no bread on top) ones as it gives you more room to garnish. Ideas for fillings or toppings are as follows:
*Devilled eggs (or egg salad) with chopped chives and a bit of caviar on top.
*Chicken liver pate with a little slice of pear and chopped walnuts.
*Shrimp salad (chopped boiled shrimp with a bit of mayo, diced mango, celery, and a squeeze of
lemon juice).
*Cold roast beef with some dijon mustard, gherkin (or a slice of pickle), and horseradish.
*Peppered cream cheese and cucumber (beat cream cheese with crushed black pepper and
serve wit sliced cucumber); this one you can serve closed (as in sandwiched between two
pieces of bread).

2) Cottage cheese: Why not go for a cheese platter? Buy a few more varieties of cheese like:
*Blue Cheese
*Brie
*Gruyere
*Goat's cheese
*Parmesan (the whole one, not grated)
Serve these in addition to the cottage cheese along with some grapes, crackers, assorted nuts,
dried fruits (like apricots) and some good bread. Just arrange them on a board with a small
knife.

3) Fruit Salad is a good idea. Opt to use fresh fruits and lightly dress it in cream or syrup (as a dessert).

4) Deli Meats can comprise of smoked bacon, salami, parma ham, etc. Or you can get a meatloaf going.

5) Candy. Will definitely keep the kids entertained. Maybe toss along some marshmallows and gummies in there.

6) Cupcakes and wedding cake. You can add different muffins, croissants, danishes, cornbread and the like. Add some pastries with chocolate or nuts or whole grains.

7) Iced Tea.

8) Pink Lemonade.

9) You forgot COFFEE!!!

10) Water.

Hope that helps! Have a great wedding brunch and congrats!
