because thats the mexican name for it.

check out this link.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/guacamole...

no clue but quacomole is good

There's more to than that. You need to add some salt and lime juice, onion or onion powder, jalapeno or cayenne pepper. Some put tomato in it.

Smushed avocado, it's not just for breakfast anymore.

Guacamole is avacado, tomato, and onion

Because it's not just smashed avocado -- it's usually combined with cilantro, onions, tomatoes (sometimes peppers, garlic, lime, salt, etc.)

It's not just smushed advacado is not guacamole.
You have to have other ingredients as well

There is more too guacamole than meets the eye. Not only does it have this delicious concoction you call "smushed avocado" but it also has tomato, onion, and lemon/lime juice.

I have no idea why it is called guacamole. I think it is Spanish for smushed avocado.

some people say avocado dip

because there are other ingredients in guacamole, than just smushed avocados. Try some rotel, chopped onion, crushed cumin, and lemon juice to keep it from turning dark. Also ,some chopped fresh jalapenos for those who like it hot!

Because it is delicious. Guacamole is Mexican for Delicious. DUH!

Actually the word comes from Guaca, "avacado" and mole, "thick sauce" (as in Mole Poblano). The full Spanish word for avocado is not 'guaca' but 'aguacate' from Aztec/Navajo 'aguacatl'. In Spanish, the word 'avocado' sounds like "abogado," which means 'lawyer'.

Iv'e never thought about this, but I love to eat the stuff.
