Heavy Metal Birthday Party?!

Question:

Heavy Metal Birthday Party?

I need some ideas for throwing a heavy metal birthday party.

Answers:
Interesting! I would try to decorate with black and red. Like make the table cloth look like it's made of leather. Also add spikes onto things to decorate. If it was halloween time you could use some skulls or grim reaper type stuff. Also any kind of Harley Davidson items would mix in well with the theme. You could use aluminum foil to cover things with, and get red lights and possibly even a fog machine (or just some dry ice) if you want to go all out. Any kind of Wizard or gargoyles would also work. I guess it all depends on what you have and what you want to spend. Look up some heavy metal mags or poster and see what they have in the background. I would go look around at a Spencer's store (they usually have a lot of gothic and specialty products/lights/fog machines/gags/etc.) Good luck and sounds like a blast!

Um...how is a "heavy metal" birthday party different from a regular one?

You could come as your favorite heavy metal artist.

Focus on a few favorite bands...go with decorations that remind you of their music and videos. What a fun idea! I don't really know what else to suggest though, good luck.

blast heavy metal music, like, Mudvayne and Static X, and have a barbeque with a keg, and some alcohol, make some jello shots, and invite a ton of friends. make it a real party, not just a birthday party.

The hubby of one of my best friends did this for her earlier in the year.

Call all the rocker friends in to help.
Pick THE favorite band or bands and get posters and/or pull pix from old rock magazines and make a collage. COVER the place in rock memorabilia. Get a live band to play metal. Have everyone come dressed like "back in the day".
A constant score of metal playing throughout the party, live or recorded.
Have the would-be guests throw in ideas if they are/were into that scene.
