Planning Son's 2nd Birthday Party and Need Ideas?!

Question: Planning Son's 2nd Birthday Party and Need Ideas?
My son turns two next month and my husband and I are at a loss for what to do for his party since we live in Maryland and the weather is quite cold this time of year. He loves Mickey Mouse so I want to do a Mickey Mouse theme. We are thinking about throwing a party at our house to keep it low cost. We have a ball pit for my son that I was going to use for the little kids to play with and a Wii for the older boys, because I don't want them to pop the ball pit. The children invited range from 2 years to 8 years old and are mainly all boys (Two, 2 year old girls are coming). My husband wants me to think of activities that wont cost too much that we can do to keep all kids occupied. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Activities
Askids arrive to the party, give them Mickey Mouse headbands (can be homemade) to wear. Color the tip of their noses with face paint. Or use this as an activity and have the parents help make ears
Have mickey mouse coloring books out for the younger kids (can get these online)
Play mickey says (like simon says)
Pass the mickey (like hot potato)
Mickey mickey minnie (duck duck goose)
Have bubbles and balls to keep them entertained too

have fun!!!

As the oldest of 8 kids I have found that 2 year olds will love any sort of games and music played as long as you are participating as well showing how fun it is and helping them to participate. The same thing can be said for 8 year olds. Simple games like water balloon tosses, etc will be fun for everyone, even adults.

Wow sounds like you already have some great things planned maybe plan in some things that the smaller children can do together like blocks or puzzles because the younger children may get bored trying to keep up with the older children

browse here for a bit, maybe some great ideas.
