I want to drink at my birthday party?!

I am 25 years old this happened to my best friends family. We were home for christmas break your sophomore year from college. She had a party at her house and everyone was drinking (everyone under age.) as the night went on someone got in there car and not only killed themselves but killed the car they hit. Now, yes it was stupid of him to get behind the wheel, but because was underage all Liability was on my best friends parents. ALL OF IT, this was about 5 years ago and legally it is still going on. Because of this they have lost there home, and any means of money that they had or will ever had. If you want to drink take the KEYS from everyone guys and girls, and no one leaves, everyone spends the night.

Well first of all it's sad that you already feel the need to drink in order to have a good time and your mother sounds irresponsible if in fact she lets you drink around her. Your mother doesn't want a problem, that is why she isn't letting you and/or your friends drink if they come over, you are a minor and if any of your friends drink (doesn't matter how much) and then something happens to them while at your mothers house or on their way home she is liable (responsible) and can be sued and/or go to jail. So deal with it, which is more important having a good time with friends with out drinking or staying home alone and drinking on your birthday.

She is probably just trying to look out for you. Think about it a bunch of 19 year olds drinking, you could come out of that party pregnant. Respect the fact that she is still your mother and is just trying to look out for you. But if you still want to drink maybe set out enoung drinks for one or two per person.

Go tell mother to screw herself. You don't need her love. You don't need her support. After all you have your drug using alcoholic friends.They'll take you in for another drink and some sex. It doesn't matter if your mom is thrown in jail for illegally supplying alcohol to your underage freinds. You want to party. That's what life is all about to you. Grow up.

Hosting a party for underage people is asking for trouble.

Fights, responsibility, and if the party gets busted your parents are going to get in to trouble for contributing to minors.

Well I can't blame her. Having over ten 19 year old guys drunk in your house is creepy. Just get wasted in Collage.

If you're 19 she can't tell you what to do. Do it anyway.
