You can't drink, because the legal drinking age in Boston is 21. There are lots of young people places, especially around the colleges. Dancing, partying, or really learn the history. Enjoy the architecture, the many restaurants and museums.
If it's only for one day, you could go to a nice restaurant in the North End. Also you don't say your interests. Boston is still pretty tame in morals, no alcohol on Sundays, bars close early, so do the shops. It's not like New York or Chicago in the regard.
For only a day, you can go to Faneuil Hall Marketplace (Quincy Market is there too), and the Christian Science Museum (not what you may think, but has a wicket stained-glass world map room, The New England Aquarium, and the Waterfront. It also depends what time of the year you go. If you go now, do stuff indoors, go when it's warmer, do the Freedom Trail, Copley Square, Boston Common, Charles River's Esplanade.
Really it depends, there's lots of history and cultures. Check out the calendar of events for your day http://calendar.boston.com/?refresh=true
