Fruit platter, veggie tray, and cold cuts--It is too hot to cook.
when i hosted a baby shower i did a brunch with mini quiche, fruit salad, pasta salad, twice baked potatoes, and other small finger foods.
For my baby shower there were vegetable platters and then sandwich meat, cheese, and cracker platters. I wouldn't recommend cooking for so many people unless you hire a caterer.
have a baby buffet...with baby carrots, small sandwhiches etc...good luck
bacon wrapped waterchestnuts. you need bacon, water chestnuts, brown sugar, and toothpicks. you get the whole water chestnuts in the ethnic food section (oriental). cover them in brown sugar. cut your bacon strips in half. wrap the chestnuts in the bacon and stick a toothpick in it to hold it together. Bake at 350F until bacon is cooked. let cool and serve. They are a huge hit at my parties. even more than meatballs and buffalo wings. they are sweet n crunchy. cant go wrong. Use turkey bacon iif you dont eat pork.

1 regular package of Velveeta Cheese Block
1lb of Ground Beef
1lb of sage Sausage
1 can of Medium Salsa
Bag of FAVORITE Tortilla Chips
Cube up the cheese and put it in a crock pot and melt
Brown the sausage and ground beef
Add Salsa
and Mix all together
And eat with tortilla chips
