Chocolate covered strawberries. help please!!!!!!! ASAP (melting chocolate prob.)?!

Question: Chocolate covered strawberries. help please!!!!!!! ASAP (melting chocolate prob.)?
So i am making dark chocolate covered strawberry's for a food science class.

so the recipe is only 45 calories. witch is pretty good. but anyways while melting the chocolate the recipe called for some half in half... idk why. but i didn't have any, so i used heavy whipping cream. and now the chocolate is really weird. it tastes fine, but it is like its greased. its not sticking to the strawberry's or even the bowl it's in. or the spoon it just slides off... btw ( this is due tomorrow 1st period, at 7 in the morning)
is there anyway i can save the chocolate????

like the other person said: thats ganache..(milk/cream & chocolate), you didn't need a recipe: just had to temper the chocolate correctly. If it's greasy then was the whipping cream real or fake (oil based)?

Either way, the ganache may set up if you dip cold berries (not frozen) in it.. but you will have to keep them chilled.

You can try hiding the "mess" by rolling them in crushed graham crackers.. it may give the ganache something to set up on. (it will still need cold berries and time in the fridge)

Own a chocolate company at http://www.ccberries.com

If it won't stick AT ALL it's probably best that you try again. It's not really necessary to use any dairy in with your melted chocolate, it's affect being the creation of a ganache like coating instead of pure chocolate.
If you have no more chocolate, try adding peanut butter. It's sticky so may help to bind the mixture a bit.
Also, it will give a nice flavor! Hope this helps!
