Probably a Mad Hatter theme....everything off-kilter....different size chairs, mismatched cups/saucers...that would be the fun way to do it! Decorate with clocks , have invites say "Don't be late for a very important date!" Cheshire cat grins...funny card tricks...trick candles that don't blow out or play musical tunes.
My son loves football so I gave him a "superbowl" themed birthday party once. I decorated using the colors and mascot for his favorite team. Served "manly" football food like hot wings, burger sliders, nachos etc. I made a football cake and served root "beer". I also made him an "MVP" award and special hat to wear and we played sports themed games and he and his buddies created their own "half-time" show. It was a lot of fun!!
