How many guests will this ham feed?!

Question: How many guests will this ham feed?
I have a 9 1/2 pound honey baked spiral cut ham that I plan to serve at a dinner party. Prior to sitting down we're having cocktails and hors d'oeuvres (cheese, soprasatta, humus - stuff like that)

How many people do you think the ham will feed?

I appreciate your input.

I'm always a conservative when it comes to things like this, but I would go with the 15-ish person limit that you've already been given. But, I would never recommend just having one meat...especially when it's ham. I would say add at the very least a nice size turkey breast to go with it...but not one from the Honey Baked Ham store (not that they're not good, I like them, but they're smoked and some people think they taste too much like ham). Just pick one up at Publix/Kroger and cook it while you're getting everything else put together.

Remember, it's nothing wrong with having leftovers for sandwiches, etc the next few days. And, if your ham has a bone, remember it's a great start of a 15-bean soup.

for a large meal its always best to calculate 1lb per person. Same with turkey. 16oz of ham isn't all that much, especially if it has added water (which most cured hams do if they had flavorings added. Idk what kind you had) but I would say it would serve like 12-15 max. not 20. that's stretching it.

Figure up to 1/2 lb of ham per person knowing that most will only eat probably 1/4 lb or 1/3 lb.

EDIT: WHOOPS forgot the total: 19 :)

Meat can shrink while cooking. Assuming it is 9 1/2 lbs. after it's cooked, 20+ people, if the average person eats around 6 ounces.

It depends on how much people that come

15 people. Some will eat less and others more.

about 12 people
