Pick a year such as 20's, 50's 70's or 80's are usually the most common and can be a lot of fun.

What state do you live in? Theme it around your state bird, flower, song etc...

Do you guys have a favorite group or musician?

Pick an ethnicity. Mexican is to over done as is Italian. But anyway pick one, say Russian, Polish, etc... and do dishes from that country,and play music from that country as well.

There is always Valentines day coming up. Then in March the first day of Spring and so on...

Do you have FB, okay everyone has FB these days. Search for and like "Just a Pinch" or "Tablsponn.com" other sites like that. They will let you know when it is National Pie day (last week), National lasgana day etc and you could base a party on that.

An Ugly Sweater Party is always a classic...or come as your favorite non-violent crime party, FUN. 80s themed parties are also a blast or go farther back and play swing music...people can dress up 50s style. I LOVE THEME PARTIES!

Hollywood red carpet, hip hop, winter formal, hawaiian, a night under the stars.

Hawaiian or mexican are great choice leaves lot of room for themes
