Why does the last piece of ice always stick to the bottom of the cup ?!

Question:

Why does the last piece of ice always stick to the bottom of the cup ?

Answers:
It has to do with a physics property referred to as Surface Tension.

Until you break the surface tension by raising one corner of the ice, it will stay suctioned to the bottom of the glass. Unfortunately trying to do so is tough because the ice is slippery to grab.

Survival of the fittest.

I'm guessing it's because were their are more then one ,, there is always on one at the bottom even though they rotate around.. When your drink is gone there is always a small layer of drink left in your glass,,, like a coating,, the last ice cube melts as you breath tipping the glass to eat the second last one... as the last one slides back to the bottom it flows in the layer of drink... making it stick....

I've never seen that happen before, but if it does, i really wouldn't know:)

it like you

because it had managed to find the last place to hide .. no longer ...

Water is sticky! Ehh, I don't really know why.
