Found a fingernail clipping in a bag of flavor blasted goldfish?!

Question: Found a fingernail clipping in a bag of flavor blasted goldfish?
I was eating some flavor blasted goldfish just now and I got to the bottom of the bag so I scooped the rest up and popped it in my mouth. As I was chewing, I noticed there was something of a very strange texture in my mouth, so I took it out and examined it... and discovered it was a large fingernail clipping.

Talk about gross? I haven't clipped my fingernails anytime near that so it's not mine... but however I do understand this is an unlikely story. It's not like I could sue and convince them that their workers left a fingernail clipping in my bag of goldfish. I don't eat goldfish often and that experience makes it even less likely...

What do you guys think? Should I submit a complaint to the goldfish producing company (Pepperidge Farm) or should I just dismiss it as a product of capitalism and accept it as a semi-interesting story to share with my friends?

Informative answer, creative answer, interesting answer, whatever you like. Thanks:)

I think you should send a complaint. Those poor goldfish should not have to suffer being disturbed by gross nail clippings in their natural habitat. That's awful.

I would submit a complaint. It's so disgusting to find another person's fingernail clipping in your food, especially if you ate it! Submit a complaint to Pepperidge Farm and make sure it is looked at. Many big businesses just forward their stuff. If they don't reply, then keep harassing them.

gross. i just ate some flavor blasted goldfish.

Product of capitalism. They wouldnt care anyway even if you complained. Maybe they would give you a new bag, not that you would want one.

Ew. I've had an experience like this. But it was a bone in a chicken nugget at Wendy's.

Wasn't AS gross. but yeah, complain. Finger nails are nasty ;o

You have in all likelihood already tossed the bag, right ? Ok so, anyway, I would certainly lodge a complaint with pepperidge farms, if you did by chance save the bag they would mostly likely ask for the sku number from the package, but otherwise, they will send you a coupon for a new purchase, it's a good idea to report these findings to company's it's there reputation at stake and they will do there best to correct it.
