Everyone is not watching and waiting for you to fall. They want you to have fun and a good time. They are your family and friends and know this is a special time for you.
Your mom is excited about planning the big day so just go along with her plans and be positive. Contribute your ideas about food or what you would like to have at your party.
About dancing with random guys - it's probably not going to be a bunch of strangers but rather guys around your age that your friends and family already know as well as family members like your guy cousins and uncles.
It won't be a joke - get used your shoes and dress ahead of time so you feel comfortable in them at the party.
I'm not Hispanic - but my friends have had their own quinsianera's as well as friends and co-workers throwing them for their girls. I have been to a couple and had a great time.
Keep in mind, they can be pretty expensive - so have a good time but don't let your mom go too crazy!
Well as a parent everyday is important but as a latina your mom is proud of you and she want to show you off let her. but tell her you dont want the guys in it... help her plan make it thing for the both of you have a group or your girl friends to help you celebration also it also show how much your growing up if you work things out. take care and good luck you know your mom loves you also you should get professional pictures done all dressed up with your mom.
Just because you have a party doesn't mean you HAVE to dance. Just say no to dancing. Tell the guy you are ill and might throw up and you don't want to throw up on anybody by accident. Or that you have a splitting headache, or your feet hurt, etc.
Invite a lot of other girls and let them do the dancing.
If you really don't want the party be honest and just tell your mom.
