Question: What are some awesome ideas/themes for a high school graduation party?

I'm graduating May 21st and my party will be the following weekend, May 28th. We've already rented out a place for my party, but I haven't seen it yet. It's in the basement of some place so I'm sure it doesn't look that great so I'm going to need to decorate it a lot. It's going to be an open house type of party so people will be coming and going. My mom thinks I should do my school colors, maroon and white, but I think I'd rather do something more fun and colorful and bright. The only problem is I have no idea what to do! Help me please :)

Hi, my daughter, also Brittany, graduated last year and we had her party at our house, in the basement and out on the patio. We used her school colors. We had a graduation guest book table with her senior pictures, photo boards from a baby to high school, balloon bouquets, a card box, a graduation guest book and a graduation signature mat with a senior picture in it. We displayed any medals, her diploma, any certificates and awards, trophies and newspaper clippings about her.

We had other tables set up with photo boards and pictures and photo albums. We had a big graduation banner outside.

i did a fiesta theme for mine and my friends it came out really cool. we had it outside though, but im sure it could work for u. It's really colorfull
