Get over to Beale Street. There's the Blues City Cafe and B.B. Kings right across from one another and Rum Boogie just down the street. Great ribs and BBQ at all... the Cafe gets my ultimate vote though. Great music to listen to at the same time at BB's.
Road Side Jacks...Freshest road kill east of the Mississippi River...You scrape it, we'll bake it, roast it, toast it and make the most of it. Beer battered and deep fried $1.50 extra...Please, no skunks. It stinks enough in here...lol
Just about anywhere on Beale St. B B Kings is highly recommended, but also when you get there, the locals are pretty nice and will recommend venues according to what your taste is
Have Fun and take in all the history---be sure to visit the Lorraine Motel (where MLK was killed)
You have to go to The Cupboard! It's the downtown area, but it's at 1400 Union Ave. Great home cooked food.
The Germantown Commissary is a great place for BBQ...not as overhyped as Corky's or the Rendezvous.
